From Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory, the RX-78GP04G Gundam Gerbera represents a high-mobility assault mobile suit developed as part of the Gundam Development Project. Its sleek armour, enormous rear boosters, and distinctive weapon loadout give the GP04 a dramatically different silhouette from the GP01, GP02, and GP03.

The defining feature of the Gerbera is its massive Sturm Booster system. All three rear boosters are removable, allowing builders to change the appearance of the completed model. The two upper boosters can connect with the Beam Saber racks, while the lower booster features a landing skid that can be displayed in its deployed or stored configuration using interchangeable parts. When deployed, the skid can also help support the mobile suit while standing.
